Site Tuning and Optimization

Scope of Work

Analyze performance and provide recommendations for optimal configuration settings for one site/webapp, as well as optimize resource allocations for your Virtual Server. A key part of our analysis will include the use of an advanced application monitoring tool. The dashboard of this tool provides valuable insights into code execution performance. We will provide temporary access to the dashboard so you can view performance metrics and errors, and make corrections to the code. We will also provide a written report with recommendations for server and application configuration adjustments. Upon your approval eApps will make the adjustments and verify that the desired improvements have been achieved. This is a fixed fee, one-time service.

Work Steps by eApps


  1. Monitor and Analyze - Setup the Site24x7 Application Performance Monitoring agent on the server to collect information about your application's performance.

  2. Web and application environment tuning - Identify adjustments in the settings for your web and/or application server (Apache, Java, PHP, etc) to efficiently process requests to your site/webapp.

  3. Database tuning - Using the Site24x7 APM, and other tools to identify adjustments to your database configuration to ensure optimal settings for database processes.

  4. Server resource optimization - Identify adjustments to the operating environment related to CPU, RAM, disk I/O, and networking with respect to your site/webapp.

  5. Report - Prepare a report of our findings and recommendations.

  6. Implement - Implement those recommendations that you approve.

Note: Application specific tuning of you program code is excluded from the analysis. However, the tool we use will provide visibility on code execution performance. Your developer is responsible for using this information to fix performance issues and bottlenecks in your code.
